Light the World giving machine shines bright at Market! Market
Bonifacio Global City, Taguig — The spirit of Christmas service radiated through Market! Market! as the Light the World Giving Machine was officially launched on Wednesday, November 26, 2025. The event marked a significant moment for the community as The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints opened another season of Christ-centered giving—inviting Filipinos to uplift lives through simple, heartfelt acts of kindness.
Presiding over the launch, Elder Chi Hong (Sam) Wong, First Counselor in the Philippines Area Presidency, emphasized the purpose of the initiative: to help individuals “experience the Savior’s love by giving as He gave.”

Last year’s Giving Machines, which showcased the overwhelming generosity of donors. This year’s partner organizations—Caritas Kalookan, HERO Foundation, Inc., and NORFIL Foundation, Inc.—also shared messages of gratitude and hope. Speakers Fr. Arvin De Jesus, Gen. Emmanuel T. Bautista, and Ms. Ma. Teresa R. Nuqui highlighted how the donations directly strengthen their life-changing programs for children, families, and vulnerable communities.

A moving video presentation illuminated the global impact of the Light the World initiative, which has helped millions through its Christlike approach to giving.
The highlight of the event came with the unveiling of the Giving Machines—bright, interactive kiosks that allow the public to donate specific items such as food packs, medical care, hygiene kits, educational assistance, and more. Instead of buying products for themselves, donors “purchase” gifts that go directly to people in need.

Organizers stressed the heart of the campaign: to inspire people to give with purpose and compassion.
“Every donation is a small light that can brighten someone’s world,” they shared. “Through these machines, we invite everyone to give hope and share the Savior’s light.”
The Giving Machines will remain open throughout the Christmas season, offering a simple yet powerful way for Filipinos to give love, give hope, and #LightTheWorldByGiving.
This year’s installation at Market! Market! stands as a reminder that even in a bustling city, the true essence of Christmas—service, generosity, and love—continues to shine brightly.
