“We are deeply honoured to receive this recognition from the City Government of Santa Rosa. These awards reflect our commitment to integrating sustainability into every aspect of our operations, from building greener infrastructure to adopting environmentally responsible practices. As we continue to expand CALAX, we remain dedicated to proving that infrastructure development and environmental stewardship can go hand in hand,” said MPHI President and General Manager Andrew B. Pangilinan.
Stretching 44.6 kilometres, CALAX links the provinces of Cavite and Laguna and is expected to accommodate around 95,000 motorists daily once fully completed. The operational sections currently connect Biรฑan, Laguna, to General Trias, Cavite, cutting travel time from approximately one hour to just 26 minutes.
Beyond enhancing mobility, CALAX continues to strengthen its environmental initiatives by reducing fuel consumption and vehicle emissions through shorter travel times. The expressway also incorporates sustainable features such as solar-powered systems, rainwater harvesting facilities, and the gradual transition of its corporate fleet to electric vehicles (EVs), highlighting its commitment to greener and more sustainable expressway operations.
