TRB approves toll collection for CALAX Subsection 3
CAVITE–LAGUNA — The Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) has approved the start of toll collection for Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX) Subsection 3, covering the stretch from the Silang (Aguinaldo) Interchange to Governor’s Drive in General Trias, Cavite, effective August 9, 2026.
The 7.88-kilometer segment has been toll-free for three months since its opening on May 4, 2026, providing free passage to nearly 9,000 motorists daily. The new route offers a faster and more convenient travel option for residents, workers, students, and businesses in Cavite.
CALAX Subsection 3 was built to provide an alternative route for motorists and help ease congestion along heavily traveled local roads serving Cavite’s growing industrial and residential areas.
Beginning August 9, motorists using the Silang (Aguinaldo) Interchange–Governor’s Drive section will be charged the following toll rates:
- Class 1: ₱35
- Class 2: ₱70
- Class 3: ₱106
For motorists traveling from Governor’s Drive in General Trias, Cavite, directly to Greenfield in Laguna, the applicable toll rates will be:- Class 1: ₱117
- Class 2: ₱234
- Class 3: ₱351
With the opening of Subsection 3, the operational length of CALAX has reached 26 kilometers, extending from the Greenfield-Mamplasan Entry in Biñan, Laguna.
Once fully completed, the CALAX network is projected to accommodate up to 65,000 vehicles daily, further improving connectivity and facilitating the movement of people, goods, and services across Cavite, Laguna, and Southern Metro Manila.
CALAX is a major infrastructure project aimed at reducing travel time, easing traffic congestion on major local roads, and supporting economic growth in one of the country’s fastest-growing regions.
