Aboitiz Football Cup Marks 25 Years of Developing Young Talent and Strengthening Local Communities
Lipa-Malvar, Batangas — The Aboitiz Football Cup, the Philippines’ longest-running grassroots football tournament, is celebrating its 25th year with expanded regional festivals in Luzon. Hosted by Aboitiz Economic Estates, this year’s Luzon leg will take place across two major venues: the Biz Hub at LIMA Estate in Batangas and Don Bosco Tarlac in Tarlac.
The milestone season continues the tournament’s commitment to nurturing young Filipino athletes, fostering camaraderie, and building stronger communities through sport.
During the Luzon launch held at the Aboitiz Pitch in LIMA Estate, representatives from Aboitiz Economic Estates and RSA1 Sports Group emphasized how the tournament continues to shape the football landscape in the country and provide opportunities for youth development.
“The Aboitiz Football Cup has always been about bringing people together,” said Chino Zamora, Assistant Vice President for Luzon Operations at Aboitiz Economic Estates. “Places like LIMA Estate are designed to be communities where sports, work, and everyday life intersect.”
Matches for the Batangas leg will run every weekend from November 22 to December 13, 2025 at the Aboitiz Pitch, which remains one of South Luzon’s premier artificial turf venues for youth and community sports.
The tournament in Tarlac will be held on November 29–30 at Don Bosco Tarlac, located near TARI Estate, a growing industrial hub in Central Luzon that hosts global and local companies including Coca-Cola Europacific Aboitiz Philippines and Ajinomoto Philippines Corporation.
According to Rely San Agustin, RSA1 Sports Group President, the tournament has become a stepping stone for young players.
“Over the past 25 years, we’ve witnessed participants go from learning the fundamentals on community fields to earning college athletic scholarships and representing the country. This is why we remain committed to supporting the next generation of football talent.”
Beyond competition, the Aboitiz Pitch has transformed into a vibrant gathering place for wellness activities, sports festivals, and family events, highlighting Aboitiz Economic Estates’ mission to create connected, thriving environments.
In line with the Aboitiz Group’s sustainability programs, this year’s tournament also continues its Wasteless Campaign, which encourages players and spectators to observe responsible waste management and recycling throughout the event.
As it enters its 25th year, the Aboitiz Football Cup stands as a testament to the power of sport in building confidence, shaping character, and strengthening community ties across the Philippines.
