MONDE NISSIN POSTS 16.1% GROWTH IN CORE NET INCOME, REACHES ₱8.3 BILLION IN FIRST NINE MONTHS OF 2026
Monde Nissin Corporation recorded an increase in profitability in the first nine months of 2026, with core net income attributable to shareholders rising 16.1% to ₱8.3 billion, supported by stronger sales and improved performance across its business segments.
In its unaudited financial report released November 4, the company disclosed that consolidated revenues reached ₱67.9 billion as of September 30, representing a 7.3% increase from the same period in 2025.
For the third quarter alone, revenue climbed 8.2% to ₱23.6 billion, while core net income grew 16.2% to ₱2.9 billion. Reported net income for the nine-month period also increased 20.8% to ₱8.1 billion.
However, the company noted that third-quarter earnings were partly affected by a non-cash loss of ₱513 million from the fair value measurement of the guaranty asset associated with its Protein business.
APAC FOOD BUSINESS SUSTAINS REVENUE GROWTH
The company’s Asia-Pacific Branded Food and Beverage (APAC BFB) segment continued to account for a significant portion of its earnings, generating ₱56.8 billion in net sales, up 6.5% year-on-year.
Domestic sales rose 6.7% to ₱53.5 billion during the first nine months, with third-quarter sales increasing 7.2% to ₱18.5 billion.
Monde Nissin attributed the gains to improved pricing and sales volumes, particularly in its biscuits portfolio and strategic growth categories.
The segment’s gross profit likewise increased 9.6% to ₱20.3 billion, while its gross margin improved by 101 basis points to 35.8%.
The company credited its pricing strategies, cost-control initiatives, and lower coconut oil prices for the improvement, which helped cushion the impact of higher packaging and palm oil costs, as well as foreign exchange-related expenses.
PROTEIN SEGMENT RETURNS TO POSITIVE EBIT
Meanwhile, Monde Nissin’s Protein business, which includes Quorn Foods, posted further improvements in profitability despite a modest increase in revenue.
On a constant-currency basis, the segment’s revenue grew 2.2% in both the nine-month period and the third quarter, supported by stronger demand for snacking products in the United Kingdom retail market.
Gross profit climbed 41.3% to ₱3.5 billion, while core earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) more than doubled to ₱904 million, representing a 115.4% increase.
The business also registered a positive earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) of ₱319 million, reversing its ₱79-million loss in the comparable period last year.
Monde Nissin attributed the turnaround to business transformation efforts, improved product mix, selective pricing adjustments, and tighter cost management.
BOARD APPROVES HIGHER CASH DIVIDEND
In addition to its earnings growth, the company’s Board of Directors approved a cash dividend of ₱0.26 per common share on November 3, an 8.3% increase from the previous declaration.
The dividend will have a record date of November 25, 2026, with payment scheduled for December 23.
As of September 30, the company held ₱16.2 billion in cash and cash equivalents against outstanding debt of ₱2.4 billion. Its net debt-to-equity ratio stood at 0.08, while operating cash flow reached ₱11 billion during the nine-month period.
MANAGEMENT EYES SUSTAINED GROWTH AMID MARKET CHALLENGES
Monde Nissin President and Chief Executive Officer Henry Soesanto said the company continued to build on the momentum of its APAC BFB operations, particularly through improved pricing and volume performance in biscuits and other priority categories.
He also cited the Protein business’s continued recovery, noting that it had maintained positive EBIT for three consecutive quarters.
Moving forward, Soesanto said the company would prioritize operational discipline, sound financial management, and the implementation of its long-term business strategies.
He added that management would closely monitor fluctuations in raw material prices, foreign exchange rates, consumer demand, and geopolitical developments, including the ongoing Middle East crisis.
Despite these external challenges, Monde Nissin said it would continue adapting its pricing and cost-management strategies to protect margins and sustain business growth.
