Newly-Elected Biñan City officials take oath, vow to serve with integrity and reliability 

The newly-elected officials of the Biñan City government formally took their oath of office on Friday, June 27, during a ceremony held at the Alonte Sports Arena in Biñan City. 

Senate President Francis “Chiz” Escudero graced the occasion as the guest of honor and officiated the oath-taking of Mayor Angelo Alonte and Vice Mayor-elect Jonalina Reyes. 

Alongside them, the 12 elected city councilors who will comprise the 7th Sangguniang Panlungsod also took their oath of office, joined by their respective barangay chairpersons. 

In his message, Escudero encouraged all elected officials in Biñan and across the country to fulfill their duties with a strong commitment to truth, justice, freedom, and peace. 

Mayor Alonte expressed his heartfelt gratitude to his family, friends, and the people of Biñan for their trust and support in re-electing him as the city’s chief executive. 

He pledged to further strengthen programs in education, health, and sports, as well as initiatives to preserve the city’s rich history, culture, and arts. 

He also committed to expanding social services for various sectors such as senior citizens and persons with disabilities (PWDs), while promoting a safe and inclusive community for all, including the LGBTQ+ sector. 

Meanwhile, Vice Mayor Reyes vowed to support Mayor Alonte’s legislative agenda to ensure reliable public service and improve the quality of life for all Biñanenses.
