Rep. Cha Hernandez pushes transparency, dynasty ban in Congress September 16, 2025
CALAMBA CITY — Calamba Rep. Cha Hernandez has thrown her support behind measures in the House of Representatives seeking greater transparency from lawmakers, tighter oversight of infrastructure projects, and a ban on political dynasties.
Hernandez said she co-authored a resolution calling for the public release of the Statements of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth (SALN) of all House members. She is also backing bills that would institutionalize monitoring of government-funded infrastructure projects and prohibit political dynasties.

“Ang panata natin mula pa noong Konsehal pa lang tayo: isang bukas at tapat na gobyerno na mapagkakatiwalaan ng lahat. We are bringing our commitment to transparency and accountability to Congress by co-authoring these bills,” Hernandez said in a statement.
The lawmaker lamented what she described as rampant corruption in government, stressing that regaining public trust requires stronger accountability measures.
“We need to rebuild that trust, and that begins with measures that ensure an open, transparent, and accountable government,” she said.
