SSS Addresses Red Tape Reports: All Complaints Resolved
CALAMBA CITY, Laguna — The Social Security System (SSS) has clarified recent news linking the agency to high red tape complaints, assuring the public that all 244 cases reported by the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) from January to August 2025 have been fully addressed—reflecting a 99.3% resolution rate.
SSS President and CEO Robert Joseph Montes de Claro noted that the agency also handled more than 474,000 ARTA-related emails, all processed within the prescribed service standards.
According to SSS, most of the issues raised involved service delivery, loan applications, and contribution-related concerns. The agency emphasized that improvements have already been implemented, particularly in calamity and salary loan processing.
Reaffirming its commitment to better public service, SSS highlighted ongoing reforms and digital innovations aimed at minimizing delays and enhancing overall member experience.
“We uphold transparency and accountability in all our operations. Our collaboration with ARTA strengthens our drive to improve processes and deliver efficient, reliable service,” de Claro said.
For concerns, members may contact SSS through hotline 1455, email usssapatayo@sss.gov.ph, or visit any SSS branch.
