CaMIA marks 19 years of service in providing a safety net to Filipino families

CARD MRI Insurance Agency (CaMIA), the insurance arm of CARD Mutually Reinforcing Institutions (CARD MRI), marked its 19th anniversary on August 4, 2026, reaffirming its commitment to helping Filipino families stay financially protected amid life’s uncertainties.

For nearly two decades, CaMIA has provided affordable life and non-life microinsurance and traditional insurance products designed to give families a dependable financial safety net when unexpected events occur.

CaMIA officers and staff, together with other CARD MRI leaders, gathered for a Thanksgiving Mass to mark 19 years of providing reliable microinsurance products to Filipino families nationwide.

“As CARD MRI’s insurance arm, our goal is to build resilient communities and provide a reliable safety net for all,” said CaMIA President and General Manager Vener S. Abellera. He emphasized the importance of helping clients and their families understand insurance so they can better prepare for and recover from unforeseen challenges.

The agency’s reach has continued to expand over the years. As of June 2026, CaMIA had issued 2,418,051 insurance policies with a total value of PHP 1,708,989,457. It had also settled 135,937 claims amounting to PHP 648,183,503.

Abellera said the figures reflect CaMIA’s continuing mission to provide timely support to clients when they need it most.

“As we look back over the years, we are proud to have secured millions of individuals in times of need by offering them affordable life and non-life Microinsurance products,” he said. “We will continue to act swiftly whenever our clients need us.”
